Free Shipping to Lower 48

Motawill will ship your batteries for free anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Batteries ship UPS ground freight and will arrive in 5-7 days in most of the US. You will receive an email with a tracking number after your order ships. The USPS does not allow batteries to be shipped to Post Office boxes (PO Box). Please use a street address. Larger batteries (over 300 watts) require hazmat shipping. We pay the cost of Hazmat and freight (typically $90 to $150 a battery). You pay $0 for shipping. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is higher due to federal law that requires that batteries ship Air Freight and have Hazmat protection. Shipping to Canada includes duty, GST, and import fees.

For non-quality issues, customers may ask for product replacement or return within 30 days after receiving it. A 10% processing fee will be applied but we can prevent it for the customer if a replacement order is received. The customer is also responsible for the return shipping cost of $150. Motawill will provide a return shipping label, and the designated carrier will collect the return package. The customer may also self-return or arrange the return shipment by himself.

The Motawill 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery boasts impressive longevity, with a lifespan of up to 4000 cycles of full charge and discharge. After reaching this cycle count, the battery's efficiency may decline slightly, but it will still deliver approximately 90% of its original performance.

The Motawill 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery is designed with specific operating temperature ranges for both charging and discharging:

Discharging: This battery can safely operate within a temperature range of 5℉ to 158℉ (-15℃ to 70℃).

Charging: The recommended operating temperature range for charging is 41℉ to 131℉ (5℃ to 55℃).

For the best performance and to maintain battery health, it's advisable to use this battery in an environment with a temperature of approximately 73.4 ± 9℉ (23 ± 5℃).

Our 12v 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery is waterproof, and the IP level is IP65.

This IP grade indicates that the product will not enter the water when you put it outside on at rainy day. In normal rain, the water will not affect the product;

However the battery terminal should not contact with water during use, otherwise it may cause a short circuit of the battery.

2. Terminal Voltage Validation:

After the activation, measure the terminal voltage of the battery to confirm that it meets the required specifications.
3. Periods of Extended Storage:

If you plan to store the 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery for an extended period, it's advisable to disconnect it from the system. This precaution is taken to preserve the battery's condition.
4. Automatic Shelf Mode:

The battery will automatically enter what is known as "shelf mode" after 24 hours. In this mode, the battery exhibits a low self-discharge rate and can retain its charge over an extended duration.

1. Charging Voltage: It is essential to use a charger that provides a charging voltage within the range of 14.2V to 14.6V.

2. Charging Current: The recommended charging current can be selected based on your specific requirements:

20A (0.2C): This charging rate will fully charge the battery in approximately 5 hours, bringing it to 100% capacity.
50A (0.5C): Opting for this charging rate will get the battery to around 97% capacity in roughly 2 hours.

When connecting the charger to your battery, ensure it is connected before plugging it into the power grid to prevent any sparks.

Charging your 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery is a straightforward process, thanks to the advanced technology and robust built-in battery protection system. Here's how to charge it:

Select a Charger: You have the flexibility to use a standard charger with our 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery. However, in specific situations, such as when rapid or specialized charging is required, you may opt for a dedicated lithium charger.

Connect to Power: Plug your chosen charger into an appropriate power source or outlet.

Battery Connection: Use the charger's cables to connect it to the battery. Make certain that you correctly match the positive (+) cable to the positive terminal on the battery and the negative (-) cable to the negative terminal.

Monitor Charging: While the battery is charging, you can monitor the progress. The built-in battery protection system ensures the battery is safeguarded against overcharging and other potential issues that could lead to damage.

Complete the Charging Process: Once the battery is fully charged, safely disconnect the charger, starting with the battery's terminals. Your 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery is now ready for use.

We strongly advise against combining a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery with a lead acid battery pack. Such a configuration may lead to damage to the batteries and should be avoided.

When wiring or connecting batteries, it is essential to match batteries that are of the same type (in this case, lithium), possess the same capacity in Ampere-hours (Ah), have the same voltage (V), and are from the same brand. Mixing different types of batteries, especially lithium and lead acid, can result in operational issues and potential harm to the batteries.

1. Series and Parallel Connectivity: Our 12V batteries are designed to support both series and parallel connections, allowing for flexibility in configuration.

2. Maximum Configuration: With this in mind, you can expand your battery system to accommodate up to 16 batteries. This can be achieved by connecting them in sets of 4 in series and 4 in parallel.

Connecting batteries with different capacities, such as a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery and a 12V 50Ah Battery, is not recommended for two primary reasons:

1. Current Discrepancy: When batteries with different capacities are connected in parallel, the larger-capacity battery (100Ah) will contribute double the current compared to the smaller-capacity battery (50Ah) during both charging and discharging. This mismatch can lead to imbalanced performance and potential issues.

2. Impedance Differences: Batteries often have varying internal impedances. When batteries with differing impedances are linked in parallel, it can result in long-term strain on the Battery Management System (BMS) and may lead to damage over time.

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of your battery system, it's advisable to use batteries with the same voltage and capacity when connecting them in parallel.

It is recommended to store Motawill 12v 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉),45%RH~75%RH

    First of all, it has more amp hours when compared to an AGM or lead acid of the same rating. How is that possible? Very simple: you should only run an AGM or lead acid down to 50% capacity or you will shorten its life. You can run this down to 20% without degradation. So a 100 amp/hr AGM or lead acid has 50 amp/hrs usable. This has 80 amp/hours usable. That’s a big difference!

    Next, at 50% capacity, both AGM and lead acid will give a noticeable drop in power of your motor. With this battery it’s about the same at 50%.

    And the weight. At 27 pounds this thing is no big deal to pull out of a storage well or compartment. I don’t store the battery on the boat, so this is a quite an advantage.
    After a season of frequent use, this battery shows no loss of capacity. It runs longer, performs better and weighs less. I only ever got 2-3 seasons out of lead acid, if this thing only accepts 1/2 of its advertised charges it will last 4-5 times longer than lead acid.
